Bespoke Fine Jewelry

Heirloom Pieces for Love, Legacy and New Beginnings

Some jewelry marks a shared story. A partnership. A promise between two people.

And sometimes the most powerful love story is the one you're writing with yourself.

Engagement rings. Wedding bands. Anniversary gifts. Pieces that mark a milestone you've earned. A chapter you're stepping into. An inheritance you want to honor in a new way.

This is not catalog jewelry. This is heirloom work — designed specifically for you, built to last a lifetime, and meaningful enough to pass down.

Through a deeply collaborative process, we'll design a piece that holds your story. Your stones. Your history. And the intention you want to carry forward.

What We Create Together

Engagement Rings

The ring as extraordinary as she is. Designed from scratch around her style, her story, and the life you're building together. Nothing off the shelf. Nothing anyone else is wearing.

Wedding Bands & Commitment Rings

Rings designed to be worn every day for a lifetime. Complementary bands that honor both of your styles, or completely original designs that stand beautifully on their own.

Milestone & Anniversary Pieces

For the moments that deserve to be marked. A significant anniversary. A milestone you've reached. A version of yourself you've been working toward.

Repurposing and Transformation

This is where the work gets especially meaningful.

If you have fine jewelry sitting in a drawer — a set from a marriage that ended, a piece from a mother or grandmother, stones you love but a setting you don't — we can transform it into something you'll actually wear. Something that's entirely yours.

Your existing stones become the foundation of a new design. Your old metal — gold, platinum, silver — can be refined and applied as a credit toward your total investment. You may be holding more of the budget than you realize.

And because I work directly with the refiner, the payout I can offer on precious metals is significantly higher than what most clients would get walking in somewhere to sell.

Featured Commission: Barbara

Barbara found me at an art show the day after her divorce was final. Thirty years of marriage behind her. She bought the Emotional Support Ring that day — and a few months later she came back with a different kind of ask.

She had her old wedding set sitting in a drawer. A two-carat diamond, sixteen accent stones, 18k yellow gold. Beautiful. Unworn. Her words: "Bad juju."

She didn't want to erase it. She wanted to transform it.

*Barbara's original set Beautiful stones, dated look. A chapter that had closed.

We started with a conversation about her aesthetic, her life, what she wanted to feel when she looked at her hand. Then I sketched. When we had a direction she loved, I took her jewelry to measure the stones precisely.

She also brought me a platinum and diamond ring inherited from her grandmother — a piece of family history that wasn't her style but that she wanted woven into this new beginning. We sent both the gold and the platinum out to be refined, and applied a significant portion of that payout directly to her investment.

*The first sketch. This is where the story starts becoming something you can wear.

We used her center stone and six of the accent diamonds to create a bold, modern ring in platinum — half-bezel set, with the remaining small diamonds cascading down the band in individual bezels. Clean. Sculptural. Unapologetically hers.

Before production, she received a resin sample — sometimes called a wax — an exact physical replica printed to her precise measurements. She tried it on, wore it, confirmed she loved it. Only then did we move forward.

*Before a single stone is set, you try on an exact replica called a "resin." We get it right first.

Her ring was professionally cast, the stones set by expert stone setters, and given a mirror finish. The ten remaining accent diamonds became a pair of cascading platinum earrings — three delicate chains with diamonds floating at different lengths, designed to feel like ease. Like flow.

And inside the band, at her request, one word.

Warrior.

The remaining 10 diamonds became these

"What a pleasure it was to work with Laura on designing my new ring, earrings, and pendant.
Laura truly knows her craft and instinctively knew what I was looking for
after listening to my story.
I am thrilled with the beautiful creations Laura designed for me and
look forward to wearing them for the rest of my life."

The Process

1.  Complimentary Consultation (20 minutes)

We begin with a conversation — about your vision, your story, your style, and what this piece needs to mean. For engagement rings, this might be just the proposer. For repurposing projects, you'll bring your existing pieces so we can assess stones and metal together.

This is where I learn what draws you aesthetically, what matters symbolically, your lifestyle needs, your investment range — and what you might already be holding that could contribute to it.

2.  Design Collaboration

I create detailed sketches, digital renders, and curated inspiration images for your review. Then we refine together through unlimited check-ins until the design feels exactly right. This isn't a one-draft process. We take the time needed to get it perfect.

For engagement rings, I can work with the proposer to create a surprise, or involve both partners from the start.

3.  Sourcing, Refining, and Production

If you have existing metal to contribute, it's sent out to be refined at this stage. That payout is applied directly to your investment.

I personally source any additional premium materials needed — ethically sourced gemstones, recycled precious metals, conflict-free diamonds. Your piece is then professionally cast, stones are set by expert stone setters, and it receives a final hand polish. This is the fine jewelry supply chain done properly — meticulous at every step.

Timeline: typically 6 to 8 weeks from design approval. Complex designs, platinum work, or custom stone sourcing may require 10 to 12 weeks.

4.  The Resin Sample

For rings, you'll receive a physical resin replica — sometimes called a wax — printed to your exact measurements before production begins. You try it on, wear it, confirm the size and proportion feel right. Only then do we move forward. No surprises. No regrets.

5.  Delivery and Your Piece's Story

Your piece arrives with its story — why each element was chosen, what the design represents, how to care for it. This isn't just jewelry. It's a physical anchor for whatever you're marking.

What Makes This Different

Every piece is completely original.
I don't work from molds or templates. I don't have a house style you're choosing from. Your piece is designed exclusively for you — from the first sketch to the final polish. When it's complete, the original design belongs to you alone.

This is not a jewelry store experience.
You're not choosing from pre-made settings or limited options. You're not getting a ring that hundreds of other people are wearing. Every element is designed specifically for you.

Your old jewelry has more value than you think.
If you have pieces to repurpose, the metal you're holding could cover a meaningful portion of your investment. Gold, platinum, and precious stones don't lose their value — they just change form. And the payout I can get you is significantly higher than what most clients would get walking into a shop to sell.

This is not fast.
Bespoke fine jewelry takes time — typically 6 to 8 weeks minimum, sometimes longer. We don't rush heirloom work.

This is collaboration, not transaction.
I bring expertise in design, gemology, and the full fine jewelry production process. You bring your vision and story. Together, we create something extraordinary. And throughout, you have unlimited access to me for check-ins, questions, and refinements.

This is investment-level jewelry.
These are pieces made with premium materials and expert craftsmanship, designed to be worn daily and passed down through generations.

Investment

Bespoke fine jewelry begins at $3,333 and varies based on metal choice, gemstone selection, design complexity, and scale of the piece.

If you have existing metal or stones to contribute, a refining credit will be assessed after we receive your items. This credit will be applied to your total.

After your complimentary consultation and alignment on design direction, you'll receive a detailed quote based on your specific vision. No surprises.

Payment plans available for pieces over $5,000.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens to my old metal when we repurpose a piece?
Your existing gold, platinum, or other precious metal is sent to a professional refinery, where it's melted down and converted into a cash payout. That payout is applied directly to your bespoke investment — reducing your out-of-pocket cost. I'm able to get you a significantly higher rate on your precious metals than most clients would receive selling elsewhere. Bring your pieces to the consultation and we'll assess what you're working with.

I have jewelry from a past relationship or a late family member. Is repurposing it the right thing to do?
That's a deeply personal question, and there's no wrong answer. Some people find that transforming a piece is exactly the right way to honor the stones while releasing the weight of what they represented. Others decide they'd rather keep things as they are. I'll never pressure you either way. What I can tell you is that when it's right, the transformation is extraordinary...and the piece you end up with carries the history forward in a way that feels entirely yours.

How long does the process take?

Minimum 6 to 8 weeks from design approval to completion. Complex designs, custom stone sourcing, or platinum work may require 10 to 12 weeks. I recommend starting at least 3 months before your proposal or wedding date.

Can I surprise my partner with an engagement ring?

Absolutely. Many clients come solo for the initial consultation and design process. I can also involve your partner after the proposal for wedding band design that complements the engagement ring.

Can you redesign or repurpose inherited jewelry?

Yes — and this is some of the most meaningful work I do. If you have an heirloom piece with sentimental stones or metal, we can incorporate those elements into a new design. Your existing metal can also be refined and applied as a credit toward your investment. Bring everything to your consultation and we'll talk through what's possible.

What if my partner wants input on the engagement ring design?
We can approach this however feels right for your relationship. Some couples design together from the start. Others do a proposal with a temporary ring, then design the final piece together. We'll find the approach that honors your dynamic.

Do you work with lab-grown diamonds?
Yes! I work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds, as well as alternative stones like sapphires, moissanite, and other precious gemstones. We'll discuss the options that align with your values and budget.

What if we want matching wedding bands?
Beautiful. We can design complementary bands that honor both of your styles while creating visual harmony. They don't have to match exactly—they just need to feel like they belong together.

Can you redesign or repurpose inherited jewelry?
Yes. If you have an heirloom piece with sentimental stones or metal, I can incorporate those elements into a new design. This is a beautiful way to honor heritage while creating something that feels authentically yours.

What's included in the investment?
Everything: consultation, custom design work, detailed renderings, premium materials, hand-fabrication, finishing, and one complimentary resize within the first year. You'll also receive care instructions and a certificate of authenticity.

Do you offer warranties or repairs?
Yes. All bespoke fine jewelry comes with a lifetime craftsmanship warranty. I'll repair any manufacturing defects at no cost. Regular maintenance (cleaning, re-polishing, prong tightening) is complimentary for the first two years, then available at a minimal fee.

What metals do you work with?
I work with 14k gold (yellow, white, or rose), 18k gold, and platinum. Sterling silver is also an option for the budget conscious. We'll discuss which metal best suits your lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, and budget during your consultation.

How do I know what size ring to get?
I'll help you figure out your size. For surprise proposals, you can borrow one of their existing rings (worn on the same finger), trace it, or ask a friend/family member to help. I also offer one complimentary resize within the first year if needed. For collaborative designs, we'll get an accurate measurement together.

Can you work long-distance?
Absolutely. Most of my clients are not local. We can conduct consultations via video call, share designs digitally, and I ship fully insured. The process works seamlessly regardless of location.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payment plans are available for pieces over $5,000. We'll discuss terms during your consultation.

What if I don't want a traditional diamond engagement ring?
Then you're in the right place. I love designing with alternative stones—sapphires, emeralds, moissanite, opals, or any gemstone that speaks to you. Your ring should reflect your actual style and values, not tradition's expectations.

How involved will I be in the process?
As involved as you want to be. Some clients prefer a highly collaborative process with frequent check-ins. Others trust me with more creative freedom and check in at key milestones. We have unlimited communication throughout, so you decide the rhythm that feels right.

What happens if I need to adjust the timeline?
Life happens. If your timeline shifts, let me know as soon as possible. Depending on where we are in the process, we can usually adjust. Rush orders (under 8 weeks) may incur an additional fee depending on the design complexity.
