Have we Met?

I'm Laura. I spent years in the corporate grind, exhausted and full of self-doubt, constantly giving away my power. Working in a creative industry — but not in a "creative" role — I convinced myself I wasn't creative, even as I poured every free moment into creative pursuits.

Then came the breaking point: a high-pressure role with impossible expectations, a powerful bully blocking every move, and a mediocre review that made me question everything. Why was I grinding it out in a job where I felt neither valued nor fulfilled?

So I quit. I enrolled in a coaching certification program, determined to understand what was holding me back and to help other women step into their true power and thrive.

Coaching was richly rewarding, but something was missing. I was still craving that creative expression.

Running my own business gave me the freedom to explore, so I took a metalsmithing class—just for fun, just as a hobby. Then one day, meditating with a crystal in my hand, it hit me: these stones would be even more powerful if they were actually worn instead of just held.

That's how Arete Adorned was born.

Now, my mission is to create beautiful, wearable symbols that remind you of who you truly are. Each piece is energetically infused with metaphysical properties to align you with Source Energy and your higher self. Entirely unique. Just like you.

We believe that everyone and everything is energy, and that all is connected. So sustainability is critical.

We source recycled metals, and we reuse or send away our scrap to be refined and re-loved.

We source our metals and gemstones from reputable suppliers who are committed to ethical practices and sustainability. We support other small businesses as often as possible.

We limit the use of plastic in the studio as much as possible and are committed to re-using and recycling all plastics. Our packaging is at least 50% recycled materials and we're working towards 100%.

Just as each of us is perfectly imperfect, we embrace imperfection in everything we do. All handmade pieces are made with exquisite care and attention to detail, and, just as with humans, small imperfections enhance their beauty.
